Shinkun South Peak Expedition (6, 030 Meters)

The Shinkun South Peak (6,030 m) stands tall in the Shinku La region of Lahaul, offering one of the most exciting technical 6,000 m climbs in Himachal Pradesh. Unlike trekking peaks, Shinkun South demands ice climbing skills, rope work, and endurance to handle long alpine summit pushes.

The climb moves from alpine meadows into steep ice faces, sharp ridges, and glaciated terrain—providing a perfect challenge for mountaineers looking to step up to higher Himalayan expeditions. On the summit, climbers are rewarded with panoramic views of Lahaul, Zanskar, and the greater Trans-Himalayas.

At GoClimbUp, your climb is led by legendary Sherpas with summits on Everest, K2, and other 8,000 m giants, supported by our professional Indian mountaineering team, high-altitude cooks, and support staff. With premium logistics, world-class equipment, and a safety-first approach, this is a climb that balances challenge with security.
