Mt. SWARGAROHINI BASE CAMP (KYARKOTI) , 2024

Swargarohini, which is often referred, especially in trekking and mountaineering .One such trek is Mt. SWARGAROHINI BASE CAMP (KYARKOTI), situated at an altitude of 3900M. This trek starts from popular small Pahadi village called Sankari, Uttrakhand. “Swargarohini”,When we refer Swarga Rohini in context to heaven, i.e. Swarga, this is the legendary path. As per legends belief, Swarga Rohini is the only path from where one Can Reach Heaven in Human form.

To reach the base camp, you traverse crystal clear lakes , huge boulders , snow peaks and bone-chilling wind. The locals residing in this area believe that they are the descendants of Kauravas and have built temples in their honor. Polyandry is practiced here and is common in the area. According to the legends, this is the route that the eldest Pandava brother, Yudishtra took while heading to Swargarohini, the way to heaven.

While reaching to the venerated Mt. SWARGAROHINI BASE CAMP (KYARKOTI), you’ll be left in awe by the ethereal beauty of Ruinsara Tal tucked at 3,500 meters above sea level. This glacial blue lake is adorned on the foot of Kalanag Peak about 14 km away from Osla/Seema. Besieged by the alpine vegetation and rosy red rhododendrons, the Ruinsara Tal is considered to be sacred by the inhabitants of Har-Ki-Doon Valley.

This Trek provides a great opportunity for trekkers to see the scenic beauty and experience the life of remote villages of Himalayas and have glorious views of Ruinsara Range, Mt. Black Peak, Bandarpunch, and Swargarohini Peaks.
